PC Tune-Up & Optimization

You have owned your computer for a few months or years, and you have noticed that your computer seems to be slower than ever before. Programs that you often use have been taking a long time to load up, and are "freezing" at times. In general, you have become frustrated with using your computer because everything you want to use it for is taking much longer than it ever has before. Computers are supposed to make your life easier, right? Your computer is in need of a tune-up, also known as a computer optimization.

How We Tune-Up and Optimize Your Computer(s)

When optimizing your computer, we figure out what exactly is slowing it down. A number of things can cause your computer to slow down over the course of time, such as: bloatware, viruses and spyware, unnecessary programs running in the background and/or at start-up, lack of free hard drive space, lack of memory, hardware failure, etc.

After figuring out what has been causing your computer to run slowly, we fully optimize your computer. We make sure your operating system's updates are up to date, remove unwanted files to free hard drive space and boost performance, clear out unnecessary temporary files and much more. This makes your computer as fast as possible and gets rid of everything that you do not need.

Turnaround Time

Our PC Tune-Up and Optimization service is typically a next day turnaround service. We pick your computer up from your home or business (free, at no additional charge), fix it, and return it back to you the next day. We even set it back up for you and make sure that any devices you had connected to it are re-connected and working. On-site services are available, depending on the condition of your computer.

Designing And Building A Custom Computer (PC)

From start to finish, we can help you design and build a custom computer based on both your budget and your needs. Whether you are looking for a computer optimized for gaming, video editing, or anything else, we can come up with the perfect solution for you. We will ask you a few questions about your needs, and we will then plan, design and build your computer custom configured to handle everything you need it for!

Computers pre-built from the big companies typically come pre-loaded with a lot of software that is unnecessary. They do this because they have partnerships with software companies and get paid to put their software on your computer, hoping that you will purchase the software from them. These programs often slow down your computer incredibly from the moment you turn on your computer for the first time! Don't let the big companies take advantage of you. When you hire us to build a computer for you, your computer will come with no free trial software. We set up and optimize your computer to be as fast and easy to use as possible!

DC Jack Repair and Replacement

What is a DC jack and what does it do?

A DC jack is the component in a laptop that allows a power adapter to be plugged in, in order to charge and give power to your laptop. Quite obviously, this means that the DC jack is an extremely important component within laptops.

How can you tell if the DC jack is broken or not working?

DC Jacks go through an exceptional amount of wear and tear over the course of your laptop's lifetime. Each time you plug your power adapter into your laptop, you are applying pressure directly to the DC jack. Over time, this can cause the jack to become damaged or loose. When it is damaged, you will no longer be able to charge your laptop. This means that after your laptop battery's current charge depletes, you will no longer be able to use your computer. There are various signs that there may be something wrong with the DC jack on your computer, including:

• When you plug in your power adapter, the adapter is able to move around more than usual
• You can visually see that the DC jack has moved, or has been pushed further into the chassis of the computer
• You have to "wiggle" the power adapter in order to get your laptop to charge
• You have to hold the power adapter at a certain angle in order to get your laptop to charge
• Visually, the DC jack looks different (a piece might have broken off)

If your computer has an issue with its DC Jack, we're here to help!

A little more about Nyack:

Water glistens off the Hudson river and the many glass-fronted homes on the banks of the Hudson river as it flows toward the ocean. This is the eastern end of Nyack, a place to stroll through while walking the dog and feeding the birds. The village of Nyack, a tree-lined district full of small town charm, is infused with the natural beauty from the banks of the river, a beauty and rustic appeal that stretches west to Oak Hill cemetery, and then beyond to Mountainview Nature Park. A simple walk along main street is enough to convince visitors of the rich history of the village. Founded in the late 17th century, the rough farmland in the area slowly developed over time, rising out of the ground as churches and school houses. The momentum behind the development came from three growth industries, factories and mills that drove the economy forward. Stone quarrying fetched granite and rock out of the ground for the expansion of New York City, a mere 25 miles away. The proximity of the river meant harbors being built and shipyards prospering as they constructed the ships of the future. A healthy shoe manufacturing era also increased the influx of settlers, bringing Orangetown and Nyack into the industrial age.

Places of notable historic importance can be found all over Nyack, NY, 10960. The John Green House, built in 1817, still stands and is preserved for the benefit of tourists interested in the historical relevance of the village. Also attracting visitors every year is the site where the Nyack-Tarrytown ferry used to cross the river before the Tappan Zee bridge came into service in the 1950's.
